Audit Senior
As an Accountancy Practice in central Bristol, we are currently recruiting a Qualified Audit Senior to join our team.

Duties will include:
- Working independently within the team, managing and undertaking all aspects of entire audit engagements, including planning, performing and completing statutory audits of financial statements
- Reporting directly to Director level on assignments
- Clients include individual companies and groups across a broad range of industries, covering smaller owner-managed businesses up to £40m turnover businesses
- Maintain and develop client relationships while working on-site, working closely with client management teams to gather information, resolve problems and make recommendations for business and process improvements, and becoming a key point of contact and trusted advisor to clients
- Control and management of client and reporting deadlines, assignment budgeting, including liaison with other departments and members of staff
- Involvement includes statutory audits, non-statutory audits, grant claim reporting and other compliance engagements, including companies, charities, pension schemes and societies.
- Undertake non-audit financial statement preparation assignments
- Opportunities to work with the team to develop new non-audit assurance assignment approaches for existing and new clients to further expand the business and cater to the changing audit thresholds and the impact of this on clients’ reporting requirements.
- Maintain and develop audit compliance procedures, audit manuals and involvement in internal compliance reviews of audit files, enabling constant improvement to audit quality and efficiency
- Opportunities for various ad-hoc projects, including management accounting, corporate finance engagements (acquisitions, due diligence, business valuations) and finance raising for clients.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2-3 years experience of working within audit and must be proficient with Microsoft Office products.
Experience of working across a broad range of industries and with industry-specific accounting practices and treatments would be helpful.
Experience in other accounting functions, such as VAT reporting, management accounting and a sound understanding of corporation tax would also be beneficial.

Senior Accountant
We, an Accountancy Practice based in central Bristol, are recruiting a Senior Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be professionally qualified or qualified by experience.
As an ambitious, growing Practice, we encourage individuals to challenge and develop themselves within a supportive working environment.
Duties will include:
To produce high-level client work, including completion of statutory accounts, consolidated accounts, management accounts, tax computation, VAT returns, payroll and general advice to the client regarding UK Companies and Partnerships.
To provide technical assistance to members of staff in the accounting services department.
To keep up to date with any changes in accounting regulations and ensure clients are made aware of the impact of these.
To assist the Directors in monitoring outstanding client work and ensuring the accounting services team completes work in a timely manner.
To assist in the identification and implementation of improved working processes.
To ensure the work processes are documented and kept up to date to quality assurance levels.
To assist in designing and implementing new or improved accounting systems for a range of clients, including internal training of client staff in using such systems.
To prepare and present client management accounts.
To prepare and present budgets, forecasts and cashflows as required
Networking and Business development work, including creating new client and business contacts for the SME department to establish strong business links and channels to access new business
VAT technical experience
CIS technical experience
The successful candidate will have previous experience working within a Practice, including producing a complete set of accounts and personal and corporate tax computations.
